I'm selling this trusty Honda Today 50 Scooter due to no longer using it.
I'm selling unregistered as is, need a quick sale as we are moving very soon.
This scooter has been the most reliable and cheap to run vehicle I have ever owned.
Comfortable and easy to ride, it's great for around town.
It's a 49.5cc so you can drive it on a car licence.
I'm a big guy and can get 180-200kms out of the 5L tank. Rego is only a couple of hundred per year. I got about 54kph as a top speed, but if you are light you can get to 60 no worries. You can also get some parts to make them go a bit faster.
The scooter currently has 23130ks on it, I've owned it since it had 1800ks. Just be aware these scooters only have 4 digits on the odometer, so don't get duped.
It is currently registered and running great, but I'm selling unregistered and as is, no roadworthy. I'm sure there will only be a couple of cheap things to fix - if anything - to pass a roadworthy.
These retail for about $2500 new on the road, I'm only asking $650 ono so grab a bargain and get a cheap little around town runabout.
What I know it needs:
- New seat or repairs to existing seat. (see photo) Some nice person ripped the seat off while I had scooter parked at work one day. The plastic hinge connection is damaged and the locking hook is gone. not sure if it affects roadworthy. The seat cover itself is in perfect condition.
- Needs new battery - kick start still works fine
- Needs some new brake shoes front and back - not sure if there's enough left to pass RWC
- Needs a new headlamp (they are about $8)
- Needs some new boots on front suspension (see photo) - again not sure if it affects RWC
Other stuff:
The paint is a little faded on the front side panels, and there are some scratches here and there. but overall good condition. Tires are great.
I also have a matching coloured scooter helmet, as well as a black full face helmet you can have with the scooter.
